He came to bear the burdens of trees, trim away heaviness, thin the crowd of new slips to call forth the buds, to reduce a green chaos.
He gave a welcome to the leaves, inquired after the first name of each flower, tipped his hat to the willow, smiled, content, pulled on his moustache, and returned as he'd come along the garden path.
