Ikenga,

Africa's silent maestro,

great lion with noiseless landmarks,

my brother of the eastern thunders.

Mighty giant with a stroke of fires,

achiever from the forgotten place of the

world's birthplace.

Silent, sturdy

humble inventor,

magic fingers, with unsearchable thinkings

A surprise like a stroke of falling waters.

The imagination behind the world's

connectedness,

the mind that needled the world together

with a smithy smile.

Amazing fingers

imagination par excellence

whose mind itself a question or wonder?

That's EMEAGWALI my nigerian kinsman

in a farther land than home,

that EMEAGWALI!

the surprise of many who think Africa

as thoughtless.
