Words
Beautifully shaped little statues,
Words
Sculptures made of graphite, ink or print
Are like a piano
Singing on in crushing cascades.

Letters resembling rapid notes
Coming to life by your hand
Melting as soon as they are born
Dying forever engraved into white surfaces.

Words
Can mean so much
Gracefully caressing your mind,
Words
Can drive a dagger deep into your heart.

Letters
Neatly lined up in tiny rows
Can trap you, seduce you,
Entangle you,
Can be the crown’s thorns
Hurting and bruising you.

Words
Millions of words,
So tell me anybody:

Why do I always struggle to find the right…
…words?
