I stand upon the shore

Breathing in the essence of the sea

Soft, amber light filters through the clouds

Casting patterns of luminous beauty upon the water.

I am lost again

Wandering into the wild, hidden places of my mind

Amidst dream and memory I search for some sign of my beginning

Searching for the reason and purpose we weave in each moment, with each breath.

My spirit rides the waves of shifting, shimmering tides of time

To distant shores and possibilities

To stand again and behold life’s majesty

And breathe the essence of the sea.
