I drift off to sleep,

unaware of what surrounds me.

Falling into motionless thought.

Deeper and deeper I fall,

faster and faster I go.

Muscles relax in rhyme,

unconscious of life adrift

My mind sees a movie,

the leading star I play.

Further and further I fall,

faster and faster I go.

All of a sudden...

.......I JUMP..........

Breaths heavy and fast,

wide awake,

start all over again.
