Eyes throb like crimson orbs

of burning coal.

Shot with blood they seem to burst:

For long have they gazed at the sun

to fathom the chaos without.

Eyes that have stretched across oceans

for centuries-

Eyes that have been blinded with tears

from wanting to look beyond

Implode-

As they strive to look for peace within.
